WORK EXPERIENCE
Harvey served over 11 years at MultiPlan, Inc., first as President and co-CEO, then as Executive Chairman. MultiPlan is the country’s largest healthcare network organization. Prior to that, he spent 17 years as President and CEO of Amalgamated Life Insurance Company, a New York-domiciled, “A” rated national insurer specializing in multi-state employee benefit plans. Prior to moving to Amalgamated, he served as President and CEO of Urban Community Insurance Company, a New York-domiciled, “A” rated regional auto insurer. Harvey currently serves as Senior Advisor, The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm. In addition, he currently serves on the Board of Directors, FairPay Solutions and Universal SmartComp, as well as the Board of Advisors, MedeAnalytics.
Harvey served on the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), a self-sustaining U.S. government agency that provides political risk insurance and financing for U.S. business investing in emerging markets and developing nations around the world. Appointed by President Clinton in 1994, Harvey was confirmed to this position by the U.S. Senate.
Harvey has been active on a number of other boards including: Chairman, National Cooperative Bank; Chairman, National Cooperative Business Association; Chairman, New York State Insurance Department Advisory Council; Executive Committee, America’s Health Insurance Plans; Executive Committee, Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare; Life Insurance Council of New York; Industrial Council for Managed Care; Americas Association of Cooperative/Mutual Insurance Societies (International Cooperative & Mutual Insurance Federation); and Overseas Cooperative Development Council.
