Elizabeth Ahlstrand and Mark D. Shifton both spoke at day-long educational seminars sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), in conjunction with the DRI’s Construction Law Committee. This program, entitled Construction Contracts and Law, will educate NAHB members regarding the basics of construction and remodeling contracts, subcontractor agreements, warranties, sales agreements, and dispute avoidance and resolution. Beth spoke on March 28, in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, while Mark spoke on March 29, in Latham, New York.

Mark D. Shifton will be participating in oral argument before the New Jersey Supreme Court, in the case of Palisades at Fort Lee Condominium Association, Inc. v. 100 Old Palisades, LLC, et al. The Supreme Court’s decision in this case will likely have significant and far-reaching consequences to construction and community association attorneys in New Jersey, and, given the national stature of the New Jersey Supreme Court, will almost certainly be widely analyzed well-beyond the borders of New Jersey.
