SGL works closely with governmental entities, self funded plans, property/casualty insurers and third party payors of healthcare costs to identify areas of recovery and cost containment. To date, our attorneys have recovered approximately $166 million on behalf of the United States Government and approximately $152 million for over two dozen private group and property/casualty payors arising from abusive healthcare claim practices. We have the unique ability to provide our services for group health and pharmacy benefits programs.     

Our group is defined by our collective experience, covering two decades of success in and out of the courtroom. Attorneys, paid claims data programmers and analysts form the core of our group. Our team worked in the government, law enforcement, insurance and healthcare fields. Our matters typically involve group payor, single plaintiff and class action litigation against providers seeking to recover overpaid health and pharmacy benefits due to fraud, abuse and inflated pricing.

Our approach is straightforward, effective and unconstrained by geographical boundaries. The majority of our cases involve sophisticated investigations conducted before litigation and outside the formal civil discovery process. We have strong litigation experience, including coordinating with law enforcement, insurance regulators and inspectors general offices. Our team possesses an understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement, contracting, ERISA, state tort law, Medicare and Medicaid.
